Angel

Angel passed May 31st 2011 at age 11.

It's been over a year and I miss her so much. She was a beautiful 80 pound cream and tan German Shepherd.

I remember bringing her home, she was so cute at 10 weeks old wearing a little red and white bandana. I miss her, I'm crying as i type this.

She loved soccer, just like me. She was by my side through thick and thin. She loved the beach, she loved me, so loyal, even at the very end when she couldn't eat, couldn't walk, in so much pain. When she sees me it looked like all her pain disappeared just for a moment.

She didn't want to go, her body failed her but her mind and heart were still strong.

I will see you again. I promise Angel, I love you always.

Your GS Angel
by: Lisa

Hi Mark,

I had to say good bye to my GS dog Cheyenne on 4/28/14, she was 11 also. Got her & her sister (also named Angel) when they were 8 wks old.

Angel immediately became withdrawn, eating very little and seemed to be grieving just as much as me. A couple of days later, I brought home a 3-1/2 month old GS puppy (Nikki).

I miss my Cheyenne terribly, but the puppy has helped to distract Angel and helped me to focus on getting Nikki through her crazy puppy antics (shredding paper, teething, etc), though she nailed that housebreaking thing really fast!

I also still miss my GS dog Jessie who I had before Cheyenne & Angel. GS dogs are simply the best companions ever, yet they all have their own special personalities. You'll never forget your Angel, but I urge you to get yourself another wonderful GS dog to experience yet another loving companion, and nothing beats having them greet you at the door when you get home!

All the best to you!

Condolences

Mark,

I'm so sorry to read about your loss of beloved Angel. I've owned GSD's for 47 years and its always heartbreaking when they die.

My old fellow who is the best GSD I have ever owned is now 11 and 4 months old and the time is passing so fast, I dread the day I have to say goodbye to him.

He is still very active and I do have another young GSD who is 2 years old but he is not my heart dog like my old fellow is. I love Ross my old lad so much, I get tears just thinking about life without him. So I know how sad you must be feeling.

Time will heal the pain eventually and you will move on and get another dog. But they are all different and it's hard not to compare when you get a new dog. Ross has given me so much joy and I am thankful for that. It's awful that dogs have such short lives compared to ours.

I wish you all the best and hope one day you will find another dog pal to love in memory of your Angel.
